Patchwork Express

The smaller board and fewer tiles make this a perfect quick game for my 6-year-old, who can finally play without getting overwhelmed. It still has that satisfying puzzle feel of the original but wraps up in under 20 minutes, which is ideal for short attention spans.

I was worried it might feel too simple, but the smaller board and fewer tiles actually make it perfect for quick rounds with my kid. The game still keeps that satisfying puzzle feel without dragging on.

Played this with my nephew after a weekend of heavy games, and the smaller board really does speed things up. It’s a decent filler, though I found the tile selection a bit less satisfying than the original. Fine for a quick round, just not something I’d pull out with my usual group.
