Deciding between Beyblade X Booster and Burst Rise Hyper Sphere? Compare build systems, price, and compatibility to pick the right top for your collection.
Quick answer
Choose Beyblade Burst Rise if you already own a Burst launcher and want affordable expansion tops. Pick Beyblade X Booster if you prefer the newer three-part build system and are starting fresh with an X Starter Pack.
Build system differences matter
Burst Rise Hyper Sphere tops are one-piece designs that work with any Burst launcher. Beyblade X Booster tops use a three-part system (blade, ratchet, tip) that you assemble yourself. The X system offers more customization but requires compatible X-series parts.
If you already have a Burst launcher from a Starter Pack, a Burst Rise single pack is a drop-in addition. With Beyblade X, you need an X launcher (not included in the Booster) before you can battle.
Price and value per top
Each Beyblade Burst Rise Hyper Sphere single pack costs $11.51 (regularly $17.99) and gives you a complete battling top. The Beyblade X Booster single tops are $8.53 each, but they do not include a launcher. If you already have an X launcher, the Booster is the cheaper way to expand your roster.
For collectors on a budget who already own the required launcher, the X Booster offers a lower entry price per top. Newcomers should factor in the cost of a Starter Pack for either series.
Which series has more variety?
Burst Rise Hyper Sphere offers seven characters including a classic reissue (Draciel F). Beyblade X Booster currently lists seven tops as well, with options like Obsidian Shell and Soar Phoenix. Both lines provide enough variety to build a competitive collection.
The choice comes down to system preference: Burst Rise is simpler and backward-compatible with older Burst launchers, while Beyblade X introduces a modular build that may appeal to players who enjoy tuning their tops.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Burst Rise Hyper Sphere: One-piece top, no assembly needed. Requires a Burst launcher (sold separately). Cheaper than a Starter Pack if you already have a launcher. Best for expanding an existing Burst collection.
- Beyblade X Booster: Three-part build for customization. Requires an X launcher (sold separately). Lower per-top price than Burst Rise, but needs a launcher investment. Best for players who want modular tuning and are starting with an X Starter Pack.
- Compatibility: Burst Rise tops are not compatible with X launchers, and X tops do not work with Burst launchers. You must commit to one system unless you buy both launchers. Choose your system first, then expand within it.
