Quick Answer
If you want a ready-to-battle Beyblade with a sparking launcher that measures launch speed, the Beyblade Burst Surge Speed Storm Spark Power Set is a solid starter choice. It includes the Brave Valtryek V6 top and a launcher, but requires a separate stadium.
What's in the Box vs. What's Missing
The Speed Storm Spark Power Set comes with one Beyblade top (Brave Valtryek V6), a sparking launcher, and a ripcord. The launcher has a unique feature: it sparks to indicate your launch speed. However, the set does not include a Beyblade stadium. You'll need to buy one separately to battle. This is common for single-top sets, but worth noting if you're starting from scratch.
Is It Suitable for Competitive Play?
Brave Valtryek V6 is a right-spin Attack type Beyblade from the Burst Surge series. It performs well in aggressive battles, but its performance depends on the stadium and your launch technique. The sparking launcher adds a fun visual cue, but it doesn't directly affect the top's performance in the stadium. For serious competitive play, you may want to invest in separate performance tips or a heavier top. This set is better for casual battles or building your collection.
Decision Rules for Your Beyblade Purchase
- Starter or Collector?: If you're new to Beyblade or want to add Brave Valtryek V6 to your collection, this set is a good pick. It gives you a complete top and launcher in one box. Check if you already own a Beyblade stadium.
- Launcher Preference: The sparking launcher is exclusive to this set and provides a visual speed indicator. If you prefer a standard launcher or already have one, you might consider buying just the top separately.
- Budget Consideration: At $21.45 (compared to $28.99), this set offers a discount on a single top and launcher. However, if you want multiple tops or a stadium, a multi-pack may offer better value. Calculate total cost including a stadium if you don't have one.
